FAQ

Qld Cricket Foundation Questions

The purpose of the Queensland Cricket Foundation is to fundraise and invest into cricket initiatives that create positive differences in Queensland communities. The work of the foundation aims to give more Queenslanders the opportunity to support and participate in Australia’s favourite sport, while enhancing the experiences of all existing participants, volunteers and fans.

All money raised will go towards supporting our four key pillars:

  1. Indigenous health and well-being
  2. Female and all-inclusive programs and initiatives
  3. Infrastructure and facilities
  4. Supporting experiences for disadvantaged youth
All funds raised through the ‘Buy a Picket’ Campaign will go towards supporting running activities such cricket programs in regions that would otherwise not have the opportunity, funding, equipment, infrastructure and facilities for clubs and participants, and offering memorable and unique experiences for children in Indigenous and disadvantaged communities.

Player Questions

Players who have represented Queensland or the Brisbane Heat will be honoured with a picket at Allan Border Field. You will have the option to have your name feature on the same picket as a representative player, be that a current or former Queensland or Heat Player, a Queenslander who has played for Australia, or a QLD Cricket Legend. This includes all male and female players who have made their debut for Queensland across all formats of the game. If following the selection of a picket with a player’s name, the player chooses to no longer be acknowledged on the picket, we will advise you of this and offer you the option to either remove your name and receive a refund, or select another player for your name to be alongside.

You have the option for your name to feature on the same picket as a current or former Queensland player, or without a player’s name.

Option 1Your Name | $500

Option 2 – Your Name + Queensland Representative | $1,500

Option 3 – Your Name + Legend | $5,000

If you are unable to find a player and they have not already been sold, please contact the Queensland Cricket Foundation on foundation@qldcricket.com.au
